Job summary

UNC Health, Morrisville site, seeks a Pharmacy Technician Specialist to apply advanced expertise across specialty areas within pharmacy operations. The role operates under pharmacist supervision with opportunities to lead training and process improvements onsite.

Eligible applicants should have a current NC Pharmacy Board registration, CPhT or ExCPT, and at least one year of technician experience. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a day schedule and onsite work.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of pharmacy technician experience.
• Registration with the NC Board of Pharmacy.
• CPhT from PTCB or ExCPT from NHA (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provides content expertise in a specialty area and maintains databases or quality control efforts.
• Communicates with vendors or patients/providers for care coordination and data interpretation.
• Documents system maintenance changes, audits, and quality control results to meet requirements.
• Trains other technicians in specialty areas as required.
• Initiates improvement projects and implements solutions and project plans.
• Performs routine pharmacy technician operations as needed.
