Job summary

UNC Health in Hillsborough, NC seeks a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in reviewing, compounding and dispensing medications under licensed supervision. Qualifications

• Completion of an academic pharmacy technician training program preferred.
• Current NC Board of Pharmacy registration or eligibility to register as a technician.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in reviewing, compounding and dispensing medications under supervision.
• Deliver and exchange medications to patient areas and return unused meds to pharmacy.
• Document pharmaceutical activities and patient billing using systems; ensure data accuracy.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding pharmacy services and drug information.
• Operate automated dispensing technology and manage inventory including expirations.
• Assist with training of new staff and participate in process improvement.
• Support regulatory compliance inspections and documentation as required.
