Job summary

Shields Health Solutions is seeking a Pharmacy Refill Technician to support the pharmacy team in accurately filling and delivering specialty medications. You will assist patients through the refill process, handle outbound and inbound calls, and help maintain efficient pharmacy operations.

This onsite role runs Monday–Friday 9:30 AM–6:00 PM CST with a potential transition to hybrid after 12 weeks. Texas license and CPhT certification are required, along with 2+ years of experience and strong

• Active Texas Pharmacy Technician License and National Pharmacy Technician Certification Required
• 2+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician; High School Diploma or GED
• State-registered Texas Pharmacy Technician; CPhT required

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, knowledgeable assistance to patients, providers, and staff.
• Make outbound refill calls and process requests promptly.
• Answer and triage incoming pharmacy calls.
• Clarify prescription orders with pharmacists or clinicians.
• Coordinate medication refills and complete accurate data entry.
• Assist with claim adjudication and troubleshoot rejected claims.

We’re hiring aPharmacy Refill Technician to support the pharmacy team by ensuring accurate, timely filling and delivery of specialty medications. This role includes assisting patients through the refill process, handling both outbound and inbound calls, and helping maintain efficient pharmacy operations.

Schedule: Onsite Monday - Friday, 9:30AM - 6:00PM CST. Opportunity to transition to a hybrid schedule after 12 weeks!

What You’ll Do:

What You Need:

• State-registered (Texas)Pharmacy Technician; CPhT required
• 2+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician; High School Diploma or GED
• Strong communication, organization, and tech skills
• Empathy, integrity, and a team-first mindset

Solid computer skills are required, including proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) for communication, documentation, and data management, as well as, navigating the internet and web-based platforms. Data entry and computer skills will be evaluated through an assessment as part of the pre-employment process.
