Job summary

Shields Health Solutions is seeking a Pharmacy Refill Technician to support the pharmacy team by ensuring accurate, timely filling and delivery of specialty medications. You will assist patients through the refill process, handle outbound and inbound calls, and help maintain efficient pharmacy operations.

This onsite role offers benefits and a path to hybrid work after 12 weeks. Texas licensure and CPhT certification are required, along with 2+ years of experience and strong communication,

Qualifications

• Texas licensed Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) active.
• 2+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication, organization and tech skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, knowledgeable assistance to patients, providers, and staff.
• Make outbound refill calls and process requests promptly.
• Answer and triage incoming pharmacy calls.
• Clarify prescription orders with pharmacists or clinicians.
• Coordinate medication refills and complete accurate data entry.
• Assist with claim adjudication and troubleshoot rejected claims.

We’re hiring a Pharmacy Refill Technician to support the pharmacy team by ensuring accurate, timely filling and delivery of specialty medications. This role includes assisting patients through the refill process, handling both outbound and inbound calls, and helping maintain efficient pharmacy operations.

Schedule: Onsite Monday - Friday, 9:30AM - 6:00PM CST. Opportunity to transition to a hybrid schedule after 12 weeks!

*Active Texas Pharmacy Technician License and National Pharmacy Technician Certification Required*

What You’ll Do:

• Provide compassionate, knowledgeable assistance to patients, providers, and staff.

What You Need:

• State-registered (Texas) Pharmacy Technician; CPhT required
• 2+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician; High School Diploma or GED
