Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• North Carolina Board of Pharmacy registration within 30 days of employment.
• PTCB/NHA (CPhT) certification within 18 months or ACPE program enrollment.
• One year of pharmacy experience preferred.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacist in technical duties related to preparation and distribution of medications.
• Select, prepare, and label medications for patients including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
• Assist with medication distribution tasks and inventory control.
• Record patient demographics and data in the pharmacy system for record keeping.
• Process third-party billing and verify eligibility as needed.
• Perform sterile and nonsterile compounding where applicable, following USP standards.
• Inspect storage areas for policy compliance and participate in quality initiatives.
• Support training of pharmacy technicians and extenders as needed.
