Advocate Health, Winston-Salem campus Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center Pharmacy is seeking a part-time, PRN Pharmacy Technician to assist licensed pharmacists with preparation and distribution of medications, including hazardous drugs and controlled substances. You will assist with medication distribution, inventory, documentation for controlled substances, and may help train technicians.

A high school diploma is required; pharmacy tech certification preferred; NC registration within 30 days;

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Successful completion of a Pharmacy Technology course preferred.
One-year previous pharmacy experience preferred.
PTCB technician certification preferred.
North Carolina Board of Pharmacy registration required within 30 days of employment.
PTCB/NHA technician certification within 18 months or active enrollment in ACPE accredited program.

Responsibilities

Assists licensed pharmacist in technical duties related to preparation and distribution of medications.
Accurately selects, prepares, and labels medications including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
Assists with medication distribution tasks.
Screens phone calls and routes using proper etiquette.
Assists in inventory control and procurement.
