What You Can Expect

• Enter charges and credits into computer systems.
• Restock and check Pyxis machines and nursing units, including onsite and offsite units.
• Verify the integrity of medications in Pyxis machines and floor stock areas.
• Check for appropriate dating and stock levels.
• Make routine deliveries of filled medication orders and pick up new orders to be filled.
• Package and maintain records of medications not prepackaged.
• Assist as a "second check" in the accuracy of the order entry process.
• Perform monthly checks for outdates in assigned departments.
• Prepare and deliver intravenous piggyback admixtures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 1 year sterile products experience preferred.
• 1 year sterile compounding experience preferred.
• 1 year pharmaceutical/pharmacology experience preferred.
• Pharmacy Tech-In-Training required.
• Pharmacy Intern Permit (PHINTERN) - State Licensing Board.
• Pharmacy Tech, State Certification (PHT) - State Licensing Board.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification.

Additional Details

Travel is required rarely or never.
