Job summary

Safeway is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in processing prescriptions, data entry, and medication preparation within regulatory guidelines. You will interact with patients, answer questions, and direct clinical inquiries to the pharmacist, while keeping records organized and ensuring accurate workflows.

You'll maintain compliance with HIPAA and federal/state laws, stay current on pharmacy procedures, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ years old (or 18+ depending on location)
• Current Board of Pharmacy registration or licensure where applicable
• Ability to operate computers, registers, and pharmacy systems
• Successful completion of required pharmacy training programs and technician development requirements
• Working knowledge of pharmacy procedures, prescription processing, and HIPAA guidelines

• Process prescriptions and enter data.
