Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old (or 18 depending on location).
• Current Board of Pharmacy registration or licensure where applicable.
• Ability to operate computers, registers, and pharmacy systems.
• Successful completion of required pharmacy training programs and technician development requirements.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy procedures and HIPAA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions and enter data accurately.
• Prepare medications and assist with order processing within regulatory limits.
• Assist customers, answer questions, and direct clinical questions to the pharmacist.
• Maintain records, restock supplies, and keep the workspace compliant and organized.
• Follow HIPAA and federal/state pharmacy laws throughout daily operations.
