Join to apply for the Pharmacy Technician (Pharmacy Tech) role at Texas Star Pharmacy.

We are seeking a pharmacy technician to assist the pharmacist as a retail technician and front-end sales associate. Preferred candidates will have experience or knowledge in retail, nutritional, or vitamin supplement sales.

Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 9:00 am - 6:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am - 1:00 pm.

Position Schedule: Rotating weekly shifts from 9:00 am to 6:45 pm, with every other Saturday 9:00 am - 1:00 pm.

Main Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:

• Excellent communication skills and customer service
• Prescription order processing, including insurance billing (fast typing skills, proactive attitude)
• Accurate prescription filling
• Handling inbound and outbound calls from patients, vendors, and medical personnel
• Maintaining and tracking inventory
• Assisting customers with over-the-counter products
• Learning about compounding and specialty medications workflow
• Contacting physicians' offices for refills or continued prescriptions where permitted
• Clear and professional communication with internal and external departments, physicians' offices, and participants
• Prioritizing tasks, working under pressure, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and multitasking
• Working well independently or in a team with minimal supervision
• Complying with State and Federal laws, HIPAA, and PHI regulations
