Responsibilities

1. In accordance with state and federal regulations, assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Assist the pharmacist in the performance of other Pharmacy Department duties in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. If PTCB certified, assist with and coach pharmacy technicians in the operation of pharmacy systems and cashiers in the operation of the pharmacy cash registers.
3. Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with most valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in the practice of pharmacy under supervision by the pharmacist, in accordance with regulations and company policy. Review and comply with the Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and checking for interactions. Support pharmacy workflow and report prescription errors immediately.
• Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims efficiently.
• Support inventory management activities and maintain knowledge of asset protection techniques.
• Assist in administering clinical services and maintaining good relationships with the medical community.
• Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment and comply with all policies and procedures.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state certification/registration. Certification may be required for promotion.
• Attend training sessions, acquire continuing education credits, and stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
