Responsibilities

1. Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policies.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. If PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians in operating pharmacy systems and cashiers in operating the pharmacy cash registers.
3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience by engaging customers and patients, resolving issues, and answering questions.

Customer Experience

• Greet customers and patients, offering assistance with products and services, and develop strong relationships with valuable customers.
• Share and model customer service best practices, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and checking for interactions.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to policies regarding pharmacy errors and quality improvement.
• Handle sales transactions, assist with inventory management, and support clinical services as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized pharmacy environment and support external relationships with healthcare providers.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program and/or state certification, with promotion requirements as applicable.
• Attend training sessions, acquire continuing education credits, and stay informed about healthcare developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
