Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state and federal regulations, and assisting in other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
2. Using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, coaching other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in their operation.
3. Delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience by engaging with customers and resolving issues.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions.
• Model and share customer service best practices, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under supervision, ensuring compliance with policies.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and checking for interactions.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to policies on dispensing and quality improvement.
• Handle sales, cash register operations, and customer assistance in locating products.
• Process third-party claims and support inventory management activities.
• Assist with clinical services and coordinate with healthcare providers.
• Maintain a clean and orderly pharmacy environment and support exterior and interior maintenance.
• Comply with all policies, maintain respectful relationships, and complete assigned tasks.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state certification.
• Attend training, acquire continuing education credits, and stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
