Responsibilities include:

1. In accordance with state and federal regulations, assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Assist in other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in pharmacy system operation.
3. Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance. Resolve issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, complying with all policies and codes of conduct.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug info, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and supporting workflow.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to error and quality policies.
• Handle cash register transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims efficiently.
• Support inventory management and clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Maintain the pharmacy environment, ensuring it is stocked, clean, and orderly.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through designated training and/or state registration. Certification may be required for promotion.
• Attend training sessions, acquire continuing education credits, and stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy news.

Additional requirements include fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
