Responsibilities include:

1. In accordance with state and federal regulations, assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Assist in other Pharmacy Department duties in line with Company policies and procedures.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in system operation.
3. Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance. Resolve issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under supervision, complying with all relevant policies and codes of conduct.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and assisting with workflow management.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to policies regarding dispensing and quality improvement.
• Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims efficiently.
• Support inventory management activities and maintain knowledge of asset protection techniques.
• Assist in administering clinical services and coordinating with healthcare providers.
• Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment and support relationship building with the medical community.
• Complete special assignments and support department needs.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program or state certification, with certification required for promotion.
• Attend training sessions, acquire continuing education credits, and stay informed of latest developments in healthcare and pharmacy.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
