Responsibilities include:

1. In accordance with state and federal regulations, assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Assist in other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies and procedures.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. If PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in pharmacy system operation.
3. Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance. Resolve issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practices under pharmacist supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and checking for interactions. Support workflow and report errors promptly.
• Adhere to policies regarding Good Faith Dispensing.
• Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims efficiently.
• Support inventory management activities and maintain knowledge of asset protection techniques.
• Assist in clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with the local medical community through outreach efforts.
• Ensure the pharmacy environment is stocked, clean, and orderly.
• Follow all company policies, maintain respectful relationships, and complete assigned tasks.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the training program and/or state required certification. Certification may be a condition for promotion.
• Attend training and acquire continuing education credits to stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, is required.
