Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state and federal regulations, and supporting other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
2. Using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, coaching other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in system operation.
3. Delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engaging customers and patients, greeting them, offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Sharing customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Developing strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assisting in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Performing duties such as entering patient and drug info, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and supporting workflow.
• Reporting prescription errors immediately and adhering to quality policies.
• Handling sales, cash, and customer inquiries, assisting with inventory management, and supporting clinical services as needed.
• Maintaining a clean, organized pharmacy environment, and supporting external relationships with healthcare providers.

Training & Personal Development

• Maintaining PTCB certification through the training program and/or state certification, and earning it as a condition for promotion.
• Attending training, acquiring continuing education credits, and staying updated on healthcare news.

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
