Responsibilities include:

1. In accordance with state and federal regulations, assist the pharmacist, under supervision, in pharmacy practice and perform other pharmacy duties per company policies.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and assist with pharmacy operations, including coaching other technicians and cashiers if certified.
3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage with customers and patients, greet them, offer assistance, resolve issues, and answer questions to ensure satisfaction.
• Model and share customer service best practices, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, ensure compliance with policies, and perform duties such as entering patient and drug info, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and managing workflow.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to policies regarding dispensing and quality assurance.
• Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims efficiently.
• Support inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, checking shipments, and maintaining proper records.
• Assist in clinical services and coordinate with healthcare providers as needed.
• Maintain the pharmacy environment, ensuring it is stocked, clean, and orderly.
• Follow all company policies and maintain respectful coworker relationships.
• Complete assigned tasks and special projects.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program or state certification, with certification required for promotion to senior technician.
• Attend training sessions and acquire continuing education credits to stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
