Responsibilities include:

1. In accordance with state and federal regulations, assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Assist in other Pharmacy Department duties in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. If PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in pharmacy system and cash register operations.
3. Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug info, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and checking for interactions. Support workflow scheduling.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to policies regarding dispensing and quality improvement.
• Handle sales registration, cash handling, and customer assistance in locating products.
• Process third-party prescription claims and perform clerical duties as assigned.
• Support inventory management activities and maintain knowledge of asset protection techniques.
• Assist in clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Maintain good relationships with the medical community and support outreach efforts.
• Ensure the Pharmacy Department is well-stocked, clean, and orderly.
• Follow all policies and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete assigned tasks and special projects.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the training program and/or state certification. Certification may be required for promotion.
• Attend requested training and acquire continuing education credits to stay current in healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
