Responsibilities include:

1. In accordance with state and federal regulations, assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Assist with other Pharmacy Department duties per Company policies and procedures.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and assist with pharmacy operations, including coaching other technicians if PTCB certified.
3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance. Resolve issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and assisting with workflow management.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to quality and dispensing policies.
• Handle cash register operations, including sales registration and customer assistance in locating products.
• Process third-party claims and support inventory management activities.
• Assist in clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Maintain a clean, organized pharmacy environment and support external relationships with healthcare providers.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program and/or state certification requirements.
• Attend training sessions and acquire continuing education credits to stay current in healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
