Responsibilities

1. Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policies.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and assist with pharmacy operations, including coaching other technicians if PTCB certified.
3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience by engaging with customers, resolving issues, and building strong relationships.

Customer Experience

• Greet customers and patients, offer assistance, resolve issues, and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices with team members to enhance service quality.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice, including entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and managing workflow under supervision.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to quality and safety policies.
• Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims efficiently.
• Support inventory management activities and maintain a clean, organized pharmacy environment.
• Assist in clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with the local medical community through outreach and detailing.
• Ensure the pharmacy environment is well-stocked, clean, and orderly.
• Maintain respectful relationships with coworkers and complete assigned tasks.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the training program and/or state certification requirements.
• Attend training sessions, acquire continuing education credits, and stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
