Responsibilities include:

1. In accordance with state and federal regulations, assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Assist in other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies and procedures.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. If PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in pharmacy system operation.
3. Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance. Resolve issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices to deliver a distinctive experience, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and checking for interactions. Support workflow and schedule management.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to quality policies.
• Follow Good Faith Dispensing policies during prescription activities.
• Handle sales registration, cash handling, and assist customers in locating products.
• Manage telephone inquiries and process third-party claims efficiently.
• Support inventory management activities and maintain knowledge of asset protection techniques.
• Assist in administering clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Build relationships with the medical community through outreach and detailing.
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and orderly pharmacy environment.
• Follow all company policies, maintain respectful relationships, and complete assigned tasks.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state registration. Certification may be required for promotion.
• Attend training sessions, earn continuing education credits, and stay informed on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, is required.
