Responsibilities include:

1. In accordance with state and federal regulations, assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Support other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers.
3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions.
• Share customer service best practices with team members to ensure a positive experience, including interpersonal skills and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practices under supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug info, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and supporting workflow.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to quality policies.
• Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims efficiently.
• Support inventory management, clinical services, and maintain a clean, organized pharmacy environment.
• Build relationships with healthcare providers and support departmental maintenance.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program and/or state requirements.
• Attend training and acquire continuing education credits to stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico) and a willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
