Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting the pharmacist, under supervision, in pharmacy practice in accordance with state and federal regulations, company policies, and procedures.
2. Using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, assisting and coaching other pharmacy technicians and cashiers.
3. Delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions.
• Share customer service best practices to ensure a positive experience, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practices under pharmacist supervision, including entering patient and drug info, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and checking for interactions.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to policies regarding dispensing and quality improvement.
• Handle sales, process claims, support inventory management, and assist in clinical services and outreach efforts.
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and orderly pharmacy environment, and support relationship building with healthcare providers.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program or state registration. Certification may be required for promotion.
• Attend training sessions, acquire continuing education credits, and stay updated on healthcare news.
