Responsibilities

1. Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and assist with pharmacy operations, including coaching other technicians and cashiers if PTCB certified.
3. Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

1. Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
2. Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
3. Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

1. Assist in pharmacy duties under supervision, including entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medications, and maintaining workflow.
2. Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to policies regarding dispensing and quality improvement.
3. Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims efficiently.
4. Support inventory management activities and maintain knowledge of asset protection techniques.
5. Assist in clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
6. Develop and maintain relationships with the local medical community through outreach and detailing.
7. Maintain a clean, organized pharmacy environment and comply with all policies and procedures.
8. Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Training & Personal Development

1. Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state certification; certification may be a condition for promotion.
2. Attend training sessions, acquire continuing education credits, and stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico) and a willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
