Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting the pharmacist, under supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations, and performing other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
2. Using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, coaching other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in pharmacy system operation and cash register use.
3. Delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Greeting customers and patients, offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure positive interactions.
• Sharing customer service best practices with team members to ensure a high-quality experience, including interpersonal skills and Walgreens service traits.
• Developing strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assisting in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, following all regulations and policies.
• Performing duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and assisting with workflow management.
• Reporting prescription errors immediately and adhering to policies regarding dispensing and quality improvement.
• Handling sales transactions, assisting customers in locating products, and processing third-party claims efficiently.
• Supporting inventory management and supporting clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly pharmacy environment and supporting department relationships with healthcare providers.
• Completing special assignments and tasks as directed.

Training & Personal Development

• Maintaining PTCB certification through our training program and/or state certification, and earning it as a condition for promotion.
• Attending training and acquiring continuing education credits to stay updated in healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include being fluent in English (except in Puerto Rico), and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
