Responsibilities

1. Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and assist with coaching other pharmacy technicians and cashiers as applicable, especially if PTCB certified.
3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience by engaging customers, resolving issues, and building strong relationships.

Customer Experience

• Greet customers and patients, offer assistance, and ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices and develop relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy operations, including data entry, prescription filling, verification, and workflow management, under the supervision of the pharmacist.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to policies regarding dispensing and quality improvement.
• Handle sales transactions, assist with inventory management, and support clinical services as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized pharmacy environment and foster respectful relationships with coworkers.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program or state certification/registration requirements.
• Attend training sessions, acquire continuing education credits, and stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico), and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
