Pharmacy Technician / Pharm Tech Apprenticeship

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and assist with pharmacy operations.
• Modeling and delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engaging customers and patients, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience.
• Sharing customer service best practices with team members.
• Developing strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assisting in pharmacy practice, including entering data, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and maintaining workflow.
• Reporting prescription errors and adhering to policies.
• Handling sales, cash register operations, and inventory management.
• Supporting clinical services and maintaining good relationships with healthcare providers.
• Ensuring the pharmacy environment is clean, stocked, and orderly.

Training & Personal Development

• Maintaining PTCB certification through our training program and continuing education.
• Attending training and staying updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Qualifications

External Basic Qualifications:

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Six months of retail experience preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Good math and computer skills preferred.
• Knowledge of store inventory control is a plus.
• PTCB certification is preferred.
