Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations, and assisting with other pharmacy duties per company policies.
2. Using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, coaching other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in pharmacy system operation.
3. Delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience by engaging customers, resolving issues, and sharing best practices to ensure satisfaction.

Customer Experience

• Greeting customers and offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Sharing customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Developing strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assisting in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, including entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and checking for interactions.
• Reporting prescription errors immediately and adhering to policies regarding error management.
• Handling sales transactions, including cash register operations, and assisting customers in locating products.
• Processing third-party prescription claims and performing clerical duties as assigned.
• Supporting inventory management activities and maintaining knowledge of asset protection techniques.
• Assisting in clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Building relationships with the medical community through outreach and detailing.
• Maintaining a clean, stocked, and orderly pharmacy environment.
• Following all company policies and completing special assignments as needed.

Training & Personal Development

• Maintaining PTCB certification through the designated program or state certification, with certification as a condition for promotion.
• Attending training and acquiring continuing education credits to stay current with healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
