Responsibilities include:

1. In accordance with state and federal regulations, assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Assist in other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies and procedures.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. If PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in pharmacy system and cash register operations.
3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug info, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and checking for interactions. Support workflow scheduling.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to policies regarding errors and quality improvement.
• Follow policies on Good Faith Dispensing during prescription activities.
• Register sales, handle cash, and assist customers in locating products.
• Handle non-urgent calls, process claims, and support inventory management.
• Assist in clinical services and coordinate with healthcare providers.
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and orderly pharmacy environment.
• Follow all company policies, build respectful relationships, and complete assigned tasks.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program or as required by state. Certification is a condition for promotion.
• Attend training and acquire continuing education credits to stay updated in healthcare and pharmacy fields.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
