Responsibilities

1. Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state and federal regulations, and perform other Pharmacy Department duties following company policies.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers.
3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

1. Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
2. Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
3. Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

1. Assist in pharmacy practices under supervision, ensuring compliance with all policies and regulations.
2. Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and assisting with workflow management.
3. Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to quality improvement policies.
4. Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims efficiently.
5. Support inventory management and clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
6. Maintain a clean, organized pharmacy environment and foster respectful coworker relationships.
7. Complete special assignments as needed.

Training & Personal Development

1. Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program and/or state certification, with promotion contingent on certification attainment.
2. Attend training sessions and acquire continuing education credits to stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico), willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
