Responsibilities:

1. Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations. Assist in other Pharmacy Department duties following company policies and procedures.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and assist with pharmacy operations if PTCB certified. Coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers as needed.
3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience by engaging with customers and resolving issues.

Customer Experience:

• Greet customers and patients, offer assistance, resolve issues, and answer questions to ensure positive interactions.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations:

• Assist in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and managing workflow.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to quality and dispensing policies.
• Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims efficiently.
• Support inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
• Assist in clinical services and coordinate with healthcare providers as required.
• Maintain the pharmacy environment, ensuring it is stocked, clean, and orderly.
• Follow all company policies, maintain respectful relationships, and complete assigned tasks.

Training & Personal Development:

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program or state certification, with certification required for promotion to senior technician.
• Attend training sessions, obtain continuing education credits, and stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
