Responsibilities

1. Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state and federal regulations. Assist in other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. If PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers.
3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

1. Engage customers and patients, greet them, and offer assistance. Resolve issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
2. Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
3. Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

1. Assist in pharmacy practice under supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
2. Perform duties such as entering patient and drug info, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and supporting workflow.
3. Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to error and quality policies.
4. Follow policies regarding Good Faith Dispensing.
5. Handle sales, cash register operations, and assist customers in locating products.
6. Process third-party prescription claims and perform clerical duties.
7. Support inventory management activities and maintain knowledge of asset protection techniques.
8. Assist in clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
9. Build relationships with the medical community through outreach and detailing.
10. Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the pharmacy environment.
11. Follow company policies and maintain respectful coworker relationships.
12. Complete assigned tasks and special projects as needed.

Training & Personal Development

1. Earn and maintain PTCB certification through training programs and/or state registration, with promotion requirements as specified.
2. Attend training and acquire continuing education credits to stay updated in healthcare and pharmacy developments.
