Responsibilities include:

1. In accordance with state and federal regulations, assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Support other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers.
3. Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance. Resolve issues and answer questions to ensure positive experiences.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug info, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and assisting in workflow management.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to error and quality policies.
• Handle sales transactions, customer assistance, and pharmacy-related communications.
• Support inventory management and clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Maintain the pharmacy environment, ensure supplies are stocked, and uphold company policies.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program and/or state registration. Certification may be required for promotion.
• Attend training sessions, acquire continuing education credits, and stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
