Responsibilities include:

1. In accordance with state and federal regulations, assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy. Support other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. If PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in pharmacy system and register operations.
3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance. Resolve issues and answer questions to ensure satisfaction.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practices under pharmacist supervision, adhering to all policies and regulations.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug info, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and managing workflow as directed.
• Report prescription errors immediately and follow policies regarding dispensing and error management.
• Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims efficiently.
• Support inventory management and maintain knowledge of asset protection techniques.
• Assist in clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Develop relationships with the medical community through outreach and detailing.
• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the pharmacy environment.
• Follow all company policies, maintain respectful relationships, and complete assigned tasks.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program and/or state certification. Certification is required for promotion to senior technician.
• Attend training sessions and acquire ongoing education to stay current with healthcare and pharmacy developments.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, is required.
