Responsibilities include:

• In accordance with state and federal regulations, assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in pharmacy practice and other Pharmacy Department duties following company policies.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers.
• Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Perform duties such as data entry, prescription filling, medication verification, and workflow management as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager or Staff Pharmacist.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to quality improvement policies.
• Handle sales registration, cash handling, and customer assistance in locating products.
• Process third-party prescription claims and perform clerical duties as directed.
• Support inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storage of pharmaceuticals.
• Assist in administering clinical services and coordinate with healthcare providers.
• Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment and support exterior and interior maintenance.
• Follow all company policies, develop good relationships with coworkers, and complete assigned tasks.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program and/or state registration; certification is a condition for promotion to senior technician.
• Attend training sessions and acquire continuing education credits to stay current with healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include being fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico), and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
