Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policies.
2. Using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, assisting and coaching other pharmacy technicians and cashiers.
3. Delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engaging customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions.
• Sharing customer service best practices to ensure a positive experience.
• Developing strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assisting in pharmacy practices under pharmacist supervision, including entering information, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and managing workflow.
• Reporting prescription errors immediately and adhering to policies regarding dispensing and quality improvement.
• Handling sales transactions, assisting customers in locating products, and processing third-party claims.
• Supporting inventory management, clinical services, and maintaining the pharmacy environment.
• Building relationships with the local medical community and supporting clinical and outreach activities.

Training & Personal Development

• Maintaining PTCB certification through the designated training program, with certification as a condition for promotion.
• Attending training and acquiring continuing education credits to stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico), and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
