Responsibilities:

1. Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations. Perform other pharmacy duties as per company policies.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. If PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers.
3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience:

• Engage customers and patients, greet them, and assist with products and services. Resolve issues and answer questions to ensure positive experiences.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations:

• Assist in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, following policies and regulations.
• Utilize pharmacy systems for entering and verifying patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, and maintaining workflow.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to error and quality policies.
• Follow Good Faith Dispensing policies during prescription activities.
• Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims efficiently.
• Support inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
• Assist in clinical services and coordinate with healthcare providers as needed.
• Maintain the pharmacy environment, ensuring it is stocked, clean, and orderly.
• Comply with all policies, maintain respectful relationships, and complete assigned tasks.

Training & Personal Development:

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through training and/or state registration. Certification may be required for promotion.
• Attend training sessions, acquire continuing education credits, and stay updated on healthcare developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
