Job summary

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for per diem shifts at 300 Market St, Saddle Brook, NJ. The role involves supporting daily pharmacy operations under a licensed pharmacist, with varying shifts between 8 AM and 8 PM and both weekday and weekend coverage.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, state registration eligibility, and a current pharmacy technician registration. Prior experience is preferred, and a shift differential may apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• State registration or eligibility of required.
• Current State Board of Pharmacy Registration Certificate as a Pharmacy Technician required by the State.
• One to two year's experience as a Pharmacy Technician.

Responsibilities

• Complete a variety of pharmacy tasks and services within established policies and guidelines.
• Work under the direction of a licensed pharmacist and may work independently.
• Pickup drug orders at nursing stations and prepare medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Deliver appropriate quantities of medications to correct patient areas.
• Assist with accurate billing and crediting of patient medications.
• Maintain drugs in the pharmacy per the Drug Formulary, including ordering, receiving, storing, and paperwork.
• Monitor doses administered according to MAR and narcotics records.
• Maintain forms and reports for control of narcotics and other controlled substances.

Compensation: $26.00/Hour +Shift Differential

Responsibilities

• You will complete a variety of pharmacy tasks and services, including being responsible for the daily operations of the pharmacy within the established policies and guidelines.
• You will work under the direction of a licensed pharmacist, and you are able to work independently. You will not provide direct care to patients.
• Picking up drug orders at the nursing station(s) and preparing medications under the supervision of the pharmacist on shift.
• Delivering the appropriate quantities of the medication to the correct patient area(s).
• Assisting with accurate billing and crediting of patient medications.
• Maintaining drugs in the pharmacy in accordance with the Drug Formulary, to include ordering, receiving, storing, and filling out all necessary paperwork.
• Monitoring doses administered according to the Medication Administration Record on the narcotics sign-out record.
• Maintaining all forms and reports necessary for the control of narcotics and other controlled substances.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• State registration or eligibility of required
• Current State Board of Pharmacy Registration Certificate as a Pharmacy Technician required by the State

Preferred Qualifications

• One to two year's experience as a Pharmacy Technician

Per Diem Requirement: Must be available to work Six (6) shifts per Six (6) week schedule; Three (3) must be on the Weekend (Saturday's or Sunday's).
