Job summary

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in Marlton, New Jersey, seeks a Pharmacist for a Per Diem role, 8 AM–5 PM, weekends only. You will manage drug distribution, provide clinical support, and ensure accurate dispensing in a fast-paced inpatient setting.

Active pharmacist license is required; one year in hospital pharmacy preferred. Per Diem status offers flexible schedules, with orientation and opportunities for advancement within a large, patient-centered team.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Pharmacist (required).
• One or more years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Per Diem schedule requires availability for weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of drug distribution systems, central operations, and IV admixture.
• Provide clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy.
• Inform and instruct patients on medications to be used after discharge.
• Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
• Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promote a continuous quality improvement environment.

Responsibilities

As the Pharmacist, you will be responsible for:

• Having a working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services, including drug distribution systems, central operations, and IV admixture.
• Providing clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintaining adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
• Correctly informing and instructing patients on any drugs to be used after they are discharged.
• Developing and participating in new employee training and education programs.
• Participating in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promoting an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Current state licensure as a Pharmacist required

Preferred Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in hospital pharmacy preferred

Per Diem Requirement: Must be available to work Six (6) shifts per Six (6) week schedule; Three (3) must be on the Weekend (Saturday's or Sunday's).
