Job summary

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation located in Chester, NJ, is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support daily pharmacy operations and medication preparation under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The role does not involve direct patient care.

Responsibilities include handling drug orders, delivery to patient areas, billing assistance, formulary compliance, and narcotics control. Candidates need a high school diploma or GED and current state registration as a Pharmacy Technician.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• State registration or eligibility required.
• Current State Board of Pharmacy Registration Certificate as a Pharmacy Technician required.

Responsibilities

• You will complete a variety of pharmacy tasks and services, including the daily operations of the pharmacy within established policies and guidelines.
• You will work under the direction of a licensed pharmacist and may work independently.
• You will not provide direct patient care.
• Picking up drug orders at nursing stations and preparing medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Delivering the appropriate quantities of medication to patient areas.
• Assisting with accurate billing and crediting of patient medications.
• Maintaining drugs in the pharmacy per the Drug Formulary, including ordering, receiving, storing, and paperwork.
• Monitoring doses administered according to the MAR and narcotics sign-out records.
• Maintaining forms and reports for narcotics and other controlled substances.

Location: 201 Pleasant Hill, Chester NJ

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday rotating shifts 8am-4pm and 12pm-8pm (Includes Weekday & Weekend Shifts)

Compensation: $22 - $30 (Based on Experience) + Shift Differential

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• State registration or eligibility of required
• Current State Board of Pharmacy Registration Certificate as a Pharmacy Technician required by the State

Preferred Qualifications

• One to two year's experience as a Pharmacy Technician
