Job summary

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the inpatient pharmacy operations at our Marlton, NJ location. The role involves assisting with daily pharmacy tasks, preparing medications under the supervision of a pharmacist, and delivering medications to designated patient areas.

Per Diem (PRN) with weekend shifts is required. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, and current state registration as a Pharmacy Technician.

  • Experience with pharmacy operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Handle daily pharmacy operations within policy guidelines.

  • Assist with billing and credits for patient medications.
  • Maintain narcotics and controlled substance records and forms.

Position: Pharmacy Technician

Location: 92 Brick Road, Marlton, NJ 08053

Schedule: 8am - 5pm Per Diem (PRN) / Weekends ONLY

Compensation: $24.00 hourly + Shift Differential for the weekend

  • You will complete a variety of pharmacy tasks and services, including being responsible for the daily operations of the pharmacy within the established policies and guidelines.

  • You will work under the direction of a licensed pharmacist, and you are able to work independently. You will not provide direct care to patients.

  • Picking up drug orders at the nursing station(s) and preparing medications under the supervision of the pharmacist on shift.

  • Delivering the appropriate quantities of the medication to the correct patient area(s).

  • Assisting with accurate billing and crediting of patient medications.

  • Maintaining drugs in the pharmacy in accordance with the Drug Formulary, to include ordering, receiving, storing, and filling out all necessary paperwork.

  • Monitoring doses administered according to the Medication Administration Record on the narcotics sign-out record.

  • Maintaining all forms and reports necessary for the control of narcotics and other controlled substances.


Minimum Requirements


  • High School diploma or GED equivalent

  • State registration or eligibility of required

  • Current State Board of Pharmacy Registration Certificate as a Pharmacy Technician required by the State


Preferred Qualifications


  • One to two year's experience as a Pharmacy Technician


Per Diem Requirement: Must be available to work Six (6) shifts per Six (6) week schedule; Three (3) must be on the Weekend (Saturday's or Sunday's).
