Pharmacy Technician - Per Diem

Forest View Hospital

Grand Rapids, Michigan

As a per diem, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Pharmacy Technician at Forest View Hospital, you'll assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, including preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications. Other duties involve maintaining patient records, setting up, packaging, and labeling medication doses. You will perform job duties with minimal supervision, adhering to pharmacy standards, procedures, and state regulations, ensuring accurate completion of daily activities.

Schedule

This position involves working up to 19 hours per week, providing coverage as needed, including weekend hours between 7:30 am - 3:00 pm, as well as during vacations and holidays.

Starting Pay

$16 - $20 per hour, depending on related work experience.

Forest View Hospital, accredited by The Joint Commission, has been a leader in Behavioral Health Care Services for over 35 years, specializing in psychiatric disorders, psychological trauma, and eating disorders.

CPS Solutions, LLC manages the pharmacy operations at the hospital. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certified pharmacy technician with MI licensure
• At least 1 year of prior experience as a pharmacy technician (hospital experience preferred)
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office

Hospital Requirements (may be required)

• Negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
• Immunity proof via MMR or blood titer
• Varicella vaccination or blood titer
• HepB series or declination
• Influenza vaccination (Oct 1 - April 30)
• Full COVID vaccination
