Job summary

Dilkon Medical Center is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacist in processing prescriptions at the Dilkon, AZ site. Responsibilities include counting, labeling, and packaging medications, preparing orders for clinic rooms, and assisting with inventory and routine tasks.

The role requires a High School Diploma, pharmacy experience, and preferably a certified technician credential (PTCB/ExCPT) with BLS/CPR within six months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Pharmacy experience preferred.
• PTCB/ExCPT certification preferred; BLS/CPR within six months.

Responsibilities

• Set up prescription orders from physician orders for familiar items in prepackaged containers; count from stock bottles for pharmacist review.
• Reconstitute sterile medications and mix with IV solutions as needed for final pharmacist check.
• Receive, store, and order supplies for the department in coordination with the Chief Pharmacist; manage stock levels.
• Prepackage or direct aids in prepackaging pharmaceuticals for pharmacist use; label complex products with correct container and label.
• Fill orders from clinic exam rooms and urgent care sites; ensure substitutions when necessary and monitor replenishment needs.
• Perform basic calculations for compounding and order processing with accuracy; adhere to safety and confidentiality policies.
