Job summary

WIHCC seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacist in a range of duties from counting and packaging prescriptions to assisting with sterile reconstitutions and inventory management.

The role requires familiarity with RPMS/EHR systems, basic computer skills, and a commitment to patient safety and confidentiality. Navajo language skills and a valid driver's license are preferred; BLS/CPR training within six months is expected.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician certification preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification within six months.
• Fluent in Navajo language preferred; English/Navajo bilingual a plus.
• Valid unrestricted driver's license required.
• Background check for Child Care position.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in preparing prescriptions from orders.
• Count stock bottles and package for final check.
• Reconstitute sterile meds with standard procedures.
• Receive, store, and order supplies with Chief Pharmacist guidance.
• Prepackage pharmaceuticals for pharmacist use.
• Fill clinic orders and maintain stock levels.
• Answer phones and respond to emails each shift.
• Provide training to new staff and students.
• Troubleshoot pharmacy automation and contact vendors when needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and patient safety per policy.
