Job summary

Dilkon Medical Center | Winslow Indian Health Care is seeking a Pharmacy Technician under the general supervision of the Chief Pharmacist to support the Pharmacy team in a busy health care setting in Arizona. You will assist pharmacists with prescription preparation, compounding, stock management, and customer service while upholding patient confidentiality and safety.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience working in a Pharmacy.
Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT) is preferred.
Must attain a BLS/CPR certification within six months of employment.
Proficiency with computers; RPMS/EHR experience a plus.
Fluent in Navajo preferred; bilingual English and Navajo preferred.
Valid unrestricted and insurable driver's license.
Background check and suitability for Child Care position.

Responsibilities

Sets up prescription orders from physician orders and prepares for final check by Pharmacist.
Reconstitutes sterile medications as required and mixes with IV solutions if needed.
Receives, stores, accounts for, and orders department supplies.
Prepackages or directs aids in prepackaging pharmaceuticals.
Compounds, labels, and packages complex products.
Fills orders from clinics and maintains stock levels.
Answers phones and emails; provides training to staff.
Maintains confidentiality and adheres to policies and procedures.
