Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support customer health and wellness services, assist pharmacists, and ensure accurate dispensing and data entry. The role emphasizes HIPAA compliance, safeguarding confidential information, and maintaining regulatory licensure as required by state law.

The Tech will train clerks/technicians, perform post-fill audits, and participate in CLIA-waived screenings where allowed.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED and be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Completion of national registration, certification or licensure as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Maintain current national/state registration, certification, or license.
• Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those requiring a pharmacist's professional judgement.
• Provide stellar customer experience during reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
• Support training of clerks and technicians.
• Compound medications per regulations.
• Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription information.
• Support non-dispensing services using various platforms and tools.
• Complete all CLIA-waived screenings per state/federal law and company policies.
• Provide health and wellness services allowed by regulatory bodies.
• Comply with sanitation and safety regulations and report unsafe conditions.
