Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a pharmacy clerk to provide exceptional customer service and support to pharmacists in a fast-paced retail setting. You will assist with reception, data entry, adjudication and product dispensing while ensuring HIPAA compliance and maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Responsibilities include routine ordering, inventory management, cash handling, and helping customers with health and wellness services in accordance with state and federal laws.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Meets minimum state requirements to perform the functions related to the position.
• Any previous comparable experience.
• Any equivalent experience of a pharmacy clerk.
• EPRN familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service in a safe, clean, inclusive environment.
• Assist pharmacist in responsibilities except those requiring professional judgement.
• Provide reception, data entry, adjudication and product dispensing support.
• Triage calls and answer inquiries; comply with regulations and safety guidelines.
• Follow HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Maintain orderly work stations, inventory control and billing procedures.
• Operate cash register and tender transactions; manage vendor coupons and cash limits.
• Support health and wellness initiatives and community involvement.
• Handle legends orders and central fill deliveries as needed.
