Job summary

Intermountain Health Cedar City Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists, manage medication orders, and support patient safety across locations within Intermountain Health Cedar City Hospital. The role supports acute, community, ambulatory, and specialty pharmacy services.

Requires current tech certification and knowledge of relevant regulations. The position is full-time, 40 hours weekly, with shifts from 6:30 AM–2:30 PM or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, including some holiday

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license for the state.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations and controlled substances distribution.
• Lapse or failure may result in disciplinary action.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in all phases of pharmacy services under supervision.
• Answer phones and provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain patient information and records as required by regulation and policy.
• Prepare medication orders and compounds as appropriate to practice site.
• Verify inventories and assist with controlled substances handling.
