Job summary

Intermountain Health Cedar City Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist in delivering safe and efficient pharmaceutical care. The role supports pharmacy services across locations and involves data entry, medication preparation, and patient communication.

The position is full-time, with a 40-hour week and shifts 6:30 AM–2:30 PM or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with some holiday rotations. Benefits eligible and located in Cedar City, Utah.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license required.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice.
• Ability to perform accurate medication calculations and mainta in records.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in all phases of pharmacy services under supervision.
• Answer phones and provide excellent customer service.
• Collect patient information and maintain accurate records as required.
• Prepare medication orders and perform calculations; assist in compounding as needed.
• Maintain inventory accuracy including controlled substances and 340B management.
• Ensure proper labeling, cleanliness, and safety; communicate safety concerns to the pharmacist.
